• A sock – we used a colorful sock made from chenille.
• Cardboard – the cardboard from cereal or cracker boxes is great.

1. Cut out a piece of cardboard that fits inside the width of your sock and then fold it in half like your closing its mouth
2. Draw what kind of mouth shape you’d like and then cut it out from your piece of cardboard.
3. Use got glue gun to glue your cardboard mouth piece to a piece of felt.
4. Cut around the cardboard mouth piece leaving about 1/4” border. Snip little lines into the felt along the edge and glue the border onto the underside of the cardboard mouth
5. To make the dragon’s teeth cut a length of white felt long enough to wrap around the top part of the mouth and then cut away a row of small triangle teeth
6. Glue the teeth to the underside of the cardboard mouth piece and once your done glue the mouth onto the sock
7. Cut out and glue on other details for your puppet mouth like a tongue
8. For the dragon’s eyes, glue on google eyes onto the big pom pom, then glued them onto the puppet’s head
9. Glue on another set of pom pom for the nostril
10. Lastly, cut out pointy spine from purple felts and glue it onto the back of our sock
