Activity:

In honor of "Winnie the Pooh Day", today's activity is the "Hunny Hunt Sing-Along". To do this, play some of the classic Winnie the Pooh songs with this video (such as "Mind over Matter" or "The Winnie the Pooh Theme Song") and have kids sing along and act out the lyrics as they hunt for honey. You could also incorporate some simple dance moves or hand gestures to add to the fun.

Each time there's a word relating to or the word "honey", the kids need to pretend to scoop out honey from a tree. But why is this activity beneficial? Here's 4 reasons why:

1. It encourages imagination and creative play. By pretending to hunt for honey and acting out the lyrics of the songs, kids are using their imaginations to engage in make-believe play.
