Lin-Manuel Miranda created Encanto's soundtrack (and helped write the story). He is best known for creating the Broadway musicals Hamilton (2015) and In the Heights (2005).

They decided on the name Bruno because Miranda was already working on "We don't talk about Bruno" before the character's name was decided.
