Activity:

Chords can be tricky to remember, but this activity will have you memorizing them in no time! Grab some LEGO blocks and let’s build some musical chords by following the instructions below for a fun and creative way to learn about music theory and composition.

‍Chords:

CM, FM, GM, Am, Dm, Em

Instructions:

   ◦ Get some LEGO blocks and white dotted stickers
   ◦ Write music letters (3C, 2D, 3E, 2F, 3G, 3A, 2B) on each dotted stickers 
   ◦ Stick the stickers onto LEGO blocks 
   ◦ Stack LEGO blocks together to form chords

Bonus:

After you’ve practiced building your own chords, have a parent or friend build some blocks and then try to identify which chord they built.
